Security

The servers that house California Right to Life’s website are maintained in a manner that effectively safeguards the information in our databases. Comprehensive security features ensure the safety of sensitive data related to all donor transactions. Software is validated to meet PCI requirements. We also provide SSL certificates for additional security.

Contributions

No matter how you donate (online or by mail), your name and contact information will not be sold, rented, or shared without your permission.

When you contribute online, the transaction is processed using encrypted code on a secure donation site as well as a secure and dedicated web server. The personal information that is requested is the same that we would request for donating through the mail. We do not retain records of contributors’ credit card numbers.

Direct marketing is an important component of California Right to Life. We want our friends and supporters to be informed and equipped to knowledgeably pray and support our efforts. If receiving mail is not the most convenient way to keep updated on our projects and successes, please feel free to email us to let us know your mail preferences.

Personal Information

Your name and contact information will not be sold, rented, or shared without your permission.

If you send us an email or complete a web form containing personal information, we collect and store the personal information which you choose to provide, such as your mailing address, email address and the content of any request for information or any comments you may have.

Computer Tracking and Cookies

Our websites are not set up to track, collect or distribute personal information not entered by visitors. Our site logs do generate certain kinds of non-identifying site usage data, such as the number of hits and visits to our sites. This information is used for internal purposes by technical support staff to provide better services to the public and may also be provided to others, but again, the statistics contain no personal information and cannot be used to gather such information.

A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a Web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. California Right to Life uses non-identifying cookies to provide easier site navigation and access to forms. You can still use our site if your browser is set to reject cookies. Our cookies do not generate personal data, do not read personal data from your machine and are never tied to anything that could be used to identify you.

Use of Information

If you choose to provide any personal information, such as your mailing address or phone number, we may use that information to contact you. At any time you can choose to adjust the use of your information by calling or emailing us.

Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process.
