Confident. Motivated. Courageous.

When Leyna applied for our fall internship, she saw public outreach as merely protesting and not an effective way to reach and persuade people.
Her ideal pro-life job was one that required her to hold babies and help new moms. Nothing too confrontational.
But she signed up for our internship anyway.
A week in, she had a new point of view:
After being with California Right to Life for one week, going to college campuses and doing high school outreach, sidewalk counseling outside of Planned Parenthood, I feel more courageous.
Many encounters during my internship have changed my perspective on the effect that pro-life activism has on the world. I intend to continue committing my time to participating in pro-life activism because it is incredibly effective.
The next day, Leyna went toe to toe with a man who was yelling at her at the top of his lungs. He had already tried to steal one sign and had kicked over another. He was out of control.

Leyna never lost her cool. She looked him in the eye, waited for him to finish, repeated back to him some of his points to show she was listening, and then asked him to reconcile one of his points with reality: how could he justify aborting a human being he dismissed as “the size of bean” based merely on the size of that human being? Does size determine value?
By the end of the two weeks Leyna had spoken with hundreds of students, counseled outside multiple abortion facilities, and had decided this was the most important pro-life work out there!
Our next internship starts January 12, and we are recruiting young people to join our team! We are looking for committed Christians who want to work effectively to build a culture of life. Do you know anyone who might be a good fit?
If you can’t join the team, we still need your help! We have been blessed with a matching gift opportunity and every individual gift before the end of the year will be doubled. Click here to have your generosity matched, dollar for dollar, doubling your impact!
