These students need the truth

I took a crew of high school age volunteers out for campus outreach at a college yesterday, Election Day. I don’t think the election came up once in our conversations with students. They were wrestling with bigger issues.
One student self-identified as a nihilist.
Another claimed to be on her way to get her sixth abortion.
Many laughed at the images of the baby victims of abortion and ripped up our literature.
It was a rough day.
My young volunteers weren’t discouraged, though. On the drive back, they talked about how to recruit more of their friends to join in the future and how effective it is to actually reach out and talk to people about abortion. They have only been doing this kind of work for a few months, but they have already helped countless students - most several years older than them - change their minds and see why abortion is wrong.
And there are always Christian pro-life students at the campuses we visit who are grateful for our witness to the truth. Yesterday was no exception, with multiple students thanking us for being there, taking extra literature to distribute to their friends, and asking how else they could help.
A couple of weeks ago at Cal State Northridge we met a student named Ian. He said that he was raised in a Catholic and pro-life home and had only just started his freshman year, but he had already started to slide into the prevalent nihilism on campus. He said our presence on campus was the wake up call he needed and would change his life.
Ian repeatedly voiced his gratitude, so I filmed the short video above to share his thanks with you.
Thank you for making this work possible!
